ROEQ TMS C1500 400x275Denmark’s ROEQ has announced the launch of two new top modules and accessories that boost the payload and lifting capabilities of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) from Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR). The new ROEQ TMS-C1500 allows MiR AMRs to transport up to 1,500 kg for the first time. The company also launched the TML200 top module, with a stroke of 40 mm that can lift loads carried by the MiR250 robot.

The TMS-C1500, combined with the new S-Cart1500W shelf cart, can greatly increase the payload capabilities for MiR’s MiR500, MiR600, MiR1000 and MiR1350 models. Payload capacities for the 500 and 600 module allow up to 800 kg, where previously they could only lift up to 400 kg. Eliminating the need for a docking station, the TMS-C1500 can pick up and drop off the shelf cart in free space with precision, ensuring that the AMR is never left idling as it can drop off the cart and immediately go and pick a new one up, ROEQ said.

“ROEQ standardized MRE solutions are designed to unleash the full power and potential of AMRs for companies of all sizes, and the latest additions to our product family is a testament to that,” said Michael Ejstrup Hansen, managing director at ROEQ. “The TMS-C1500 provides a powerful foost for your AMR’s payload capabilities, enabling end users to repurpose compact AMRs for applications involving the transport of larger and heavier items, ensuring substantial cost savings, faster ROI and reduced Total Cost of Ownership compared to alternative solutions. We have not seen any other standard MRE solutions for MiR AMRs that feature these heavy payload capabilities.”

ROEQ added that the TMS-C1500 plus S-Cart1500W gives the AMR the ability to handle sizes and types of payloads with a cargo area larger than a U.S. pallet, as the cart has increased tilt stability with wheels placed further apart, enabling safer deployments.

For the TML200, additional accessories that support several applications – such as those incorporating pick up and drop off via bar market (PR250 pallet rack), free space pick up and drop off 9S-Cart300L Cart) and the pickup of uneven bottomed cargo, such as half Euro-pallets (TML200 Forks) – allow the MiR250 to be used across a wider range of application scenarios than ever before. This often eliminates the need to add more expensive solutions, such as conveyors. The TML200 also comes with a pickup cargo sensor feature that prevents it from picking up additional cargo if the TML200 is already loaded.

“ROEQ understands that warehouse and logistics facilities need to do more with less, and we developed MRE solutions designed to face this challenge,” said Hensen. “ROEQ solutions are good for your bottom line, your productivity, your throughput and your safety.”

The new products all include ROEQ’s Assist software, which is designed to simplify integration, enhance productivity, and streamline the setup. The software loads pre-coded missions into the MiR robot, which can then be modified in the robot’s interface, resulting in quick and consistent application deployments for AMR setups across a facility. Pre-defined footprints further ease the setup of the AMR, ROQ added.
