Knightscope BodyTemp400x275Knightscope, which develops autonomous physical security robots, announced today it has added Elevated Body Temperature (EBT) detection to its list of features and capabilities.

As a way to help combat the spread of COVID-19, the company developed a way for its clients to measure body temperatures of employees and visitors entering a facility. The Knightscope K1 Autonomous Security Robot (ASR) now has an optional EBT feature that monitors building entry points to identify high-risk individuals to further ensure safety in public spaces, by scanning those that have a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater, a symptom of COVID-19.

The company is offering demos of the new feature through its website.
