Lightpoint400x275Lightpoint Medical, which is developing miniaturized cancer detection tools for robot-assisted surgery platforms, has announced completing an $8 million financing round. New funding from the British Business Bank Future Fund, including follow-on investment, has raised the total raised for the company to $18 million.


NuroVehicle400x275Nuro, which is developing autonomous on-road delivery vehicles, has announced new investors as part of the company’s Series C funding round. Included in the new investors are Woven Capital, a newly established growth-stage fund from Woven Planet, a Toyota subsidiary, and Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc.

HAIPICK Hai 400x275Shenzhen, China-based Hai Robotics, which develops autonomous case-handling systems for logistics and industrial automation purposes, has announced a Series B+ round of almost $15 million. The round was led by 5Y Capital, with participation from existing investors Source Code Capital and Walden International. The company said it will use the new capital to fund research and development, operational capabilities and business expansion.

NimbleRobotics400x275San Francisco-based Nimble Robotics has announced raising $50 million in Series A financing, led by DNS Capital and GSR Ventures, with participation from Accel and Reinvent Capital and others. The company said it will use the capital to further accelerate hiring plans, product and technology development, and scaling of robot deployments for customers’ fulfillment operations.

SkydioX2 400x275Axon, which develops connected public safety technologies, has announced partnering with Skydio, a leading U.S. drone manufacturer, to offer autonomous drones to law enforcement and emergency responders. As a Skydio Elite Partner, Axon will be the exclusive reseller and digital evidence management partner of Skydio’s products to public safety globally.

Ouster Kassbohrer400x275Ouster, which develops high-resolution digital lidar sensors, has announced signing a multi-year strategic supply agreement with Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG, which makes tracked vehicles. Kässbohrer said it will deploy the Ouster digital lidar sensors on SNOWsat technology used to measure snow depth and maintain ski slopes.

The task order is for a one-year period, which started on Feb. 3, 2021

The partnership will create a fully digital, remote sales experience, powered by Ava’s telepresence robots, which helps realtors and home buyers with remote, contactless home tours.
