KamanKargo400x275Kaman Corporation has unveiled its KARGO UAV, a new unmanned aerial vehicle designed for expeditionary logistics within military environments. Built with the U.S. Armed Forces future operating concepts in mind, Kaman said the KARGO UAV includes a rugged design, a compact form factor that can fit in a standard shipping container, and easy deployment that can be unloaded and operated by as few as two people.

The Isreal-based company, founded in 2013, specializes in autonomous robotics and drones for challenging operational needs.


Telemax Evo Hybrid400x275Telerob, a subsidiary of AeroVironment, has announced the successful delivery of its Telemax EVO hybrid unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) to the U.S. Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) in July 2021. Designed to be operated by PFPA explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) technicians, the UGV was purchased for deployment by the agency’s Hazardous Devices Branch.

The Guardian XT is a remote-controlled robotic system designed to help humans safely work in hazardous conditions, performing tasks such as lifting heavy materials or using power tools at significant heights. With the 5G integration, the companies said they aim to improve performance and response time for remote operations, allowing robots to perform tasks more quickly and more in tune with their operator’s movements.


Army Howitzer400x275The U.S. Army has chosen Eckhart to design and build automation to increase the rate of fire for its self-propelled Howitzers. As part of the SPARTN Fire Faster program, the Army Applications Laboratory evaluated hundreds of potential industry partners before selecting and funding five companies to lead the modernization effort. Eckhart said it was proud to announce this new relationship with the Army and to embrace the mission to improve safety and efficiency for U.S. soldiers.

ParrotANAFI400x275Parrot, a Paris-based drone manufacturer, has announced that its ANAFA Ai is the first drone to use 4G as its main data link between the drone and the operator. The drone will be available in the second half of 2021 through its enterprise partners and other drone reseller networks.
